Are you interested in the games industry, testing and localization? Digital Chocolate is looking for full-time Italian Localization Tester for or a period of one year for its Operations team. The contract is temporary starting by the end of March 2009 and ending at the end of March 2010.
A Localization Tester will play test versions of upcoming games and look for language errors and inconsistencies in a game and report any possible defects to the production and development teams assisting the post-production team in localizing games in Italian.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Finding and reporting bugs for wireless applications.
• Localizing games in Italian.
• Following a test plan for wireless software applications across multiple handsets.
• Testing applications against carrier standards on a variety of handsets and platforms.
• Working closely with the other members of the Localization team in order to streamline testing process.
• Proofreading the game texts, marketing materials and other texts relative to the games.
• Translating short texts
A successful applicant will have:
• A linguistic background
• Previous experience in proofreading and translating
• An enthusiastic attitude towards mobile games and game testing
• Native speaker of the language mentioned above
• Excellent English skills
• Precision, punctuality and attention to details
• Patience to test games, follow test procedures and report issues accurately
• Ability to maintain high standards while working under pressure
• A positive attitude, good interpersonal skills and the ability to do team work
